MORE ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

Sebastian Mesdag was born and raised in Spain on a farm. He first visited Bali at the age of 14 where he fell in love with the Bali green Jungle fowl (keker). He ended up buying some in a Market in Jakarta but unaware of what to feed them they died before he reached Spain. Since then he has been fasinated by chickens and has created his own breeds in Spain. Now living in Bali he is currently cross-breeding Indonesian breeds with western breeds to ensure a breed that is both hardy and productive. He is self taught and has learned more from trial and error than from books and is willing to share his experiences with you. “The best way to learn about chickens is to observe them closely in their natural habitat and create a place where they feel safe and secure.” Sebastian Mesdag.
