Bambu Indah is a boutique hotel made up of 12 Javanese bridal homes. Initially built by John and Cynthia Hardy to accommodate their business partners, family and friends has now become one of the most popular sustainable hotels amongst discerned travellers, gypsets and eco-adventurers.
Orin has worked extensively over the past two years with the Bambu Indah garden team to turn the gardens into a productive permaculture garden. The villas are now surrounded with veggies, banana circles, rice fields, passion fruit trellises and the most photographed taro leaves in Bali. It turns all its kitchen waste into compost and it turns all its compost into food for the kitchen. It displays the most beautiful sunset in Ubud. If you visit don’t forget to try the grilled jackfruit! Take a peek
