Learn how to grow more food in less space with the Bio-Intensive Growing method. Whether you are a beginner gardener wanting to kick-start in serious organic food production or you are an experienced food grower wanting to incorporate the bio-intensive approach into your existing gardening techniques, this workshop is for you. While presented in language a beginner can understand, Jodi will deliver content on a level and calibre that even seasoned experts will find this a refreshing professional development opportunity.

Bio- Intensive Growing draws upon a variety of intensive agricultural methods practiced thousands of years ago. It is a system that was designed to provide food security for those who practice it, while continually building and developing the soil and conserving natural resources. The result is producing organic food year after year in the same small space.

Practiced in over 130 countries across the world, this method has proven that a complete diet can be produced by people in any climate where food can be grown, with very limited resources.

Your Teacher- Jodi Roebuck

Bio-Intensive grower, farmer of heritage seed and educator. Jodi lives and grows in Taranaki, New Zealand on Roebuck Farm, with his partner Tanya and two daughters. He was mentored and comes highly recommended by bio-intensive gardening originator John Jeavons. Jodi will be teaching how to take growing food to the next level, using less land whilst increasing yields. In addition to managing his market garden, he also manages a flock of sheep using timed grazing to improve land and raise healthy sheep. Jodi has taught workshops in Bali, New Zealand, Australia and the US.

We often hold Jodi responsible for the abundance coming out of our gardens at The Kul Kul Farm. During his workshop here in 2016 he inspired and helped our team to re-design our garden beds, plan more efficiently, create fertile soil and grow more food. Together with Bambu Indah Resort, we brought Jodi back to Bali in 2018 to train our garden team, where we translated his workshop in Bahasa Indonesia. This year we will also offer a workshop for our team and other local gardeners during the 2 days prior to this public workshops. Your ticket will contribute to this local training!
